Will Rendin compensate the landlord for the damage I have caused?

  • Updated

No, the tenant is responsible for any damage caused. Therefore our service is not an analogue of liability insurance.

If the tenant causes financial damage to the landlord – by not paying the rent or utility bills or damaging the property in the rental home – we assume first that the tenant can compensate for the damage.

If the tenant refuses to compensate the landlord for the damage, Rendin will do so, but the tenant will receive a reclaim from Rendin.

In case of a problem, we aim to reach the best possible compromise between the tenant and the landlord. If the parties are cooperative, we are prepared to offer flexible options for compensation. That also goes to cases where we have already made the reclaim. For example, a tenant in serious difficulty can repay the debt over a long-term period, interest-free.
