To minimize risks for the landlord Rendin uses a unique insurance product by ERGO insurance. The main goal of it is to protect the landlord even in the lack of a deposit payment and if the tenant refuses to compensate damages they're responsible for. It also protects landlords if the tenant falls into debt and is unable to pay rent or utilities.
It is vital to understand that the insurance product used by Rendin is not home insurance nor liability insurance. It does not cover all damages that might affect real estate (e.g. fire damage, water damage), but only direct damages that are inflicted by the tenant to the property or items listed in the rental home.
In addition to that using Rendin does not exempt the tenant from liability for their damages/debts. In a case where a tenant refuses to compensate damages or debts to the landlord and it's provable that they're responsible Rendin will reimburse the landlord. This payment will later be claimed from the tenant.
