What is a Handover Act?

  • Updated

The Handover Act is a document that must be prepared and signed by the landlord and the tenant upon handover of the rental property. It records the condition of the property at the time of moving in, with up-to-date photos, and lists the items on the property. It is in the interest of both parties to conclude the deed so that any later misunderstandings and claims can be more easily resolved.
